Lazarus Jacobs is the co-founder of Paragon Investment Holdings. Paragon has a diverse business portfolio comprising of property development and investments, food production, newspaper publishing, duty free retail, fishing, marketing & advertising, Oil& Gas exploration, hospitality, Duty Free Trading, etc. Lazarus is a well-known Namibian media personality, a published writer, and sought-after public speaker. He also posses considerable experience in marketing, advertising, as well as radio and television production.
He currently serves as director on the following boards:
- Paragon Investment Holdings
- Windhoek Observer
- Brand Africa Council
He previously served on the boards of the National Theatre of Namibia (Chairperson) and the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (Chairperson).
In 2009 Lazarus was inducted in the Namibia Business Hall of Fame. The Namibia Business Hall of Fame was created to recognize outstanding Namibian entrepreneurs. Receiving the award places the recipient in the company of notable captains of industry in Namibia. In recognition for their contribution to the economic development of Namibia and the encouragement of entrepreneurship through the establishment of Paragon Investment Holdings, Lazarus Jacobs and Desmond Amunyela were inducted in the hall of fame as Founders of Paragon.
